These Terms and Conditions form the basis of a contract between our customer and The Creative Cake House, no contract is made with you until we receive full approval and confirmation of your order along with your cake booking fee. Once your booking fee has been received you are in a legally binding contract with The Creative Cake House.
Booking fee: We ask for a 20% minimum booking fee of your cake order, this should be paid at least two weeks prior to the cakes event date.
Full Payment: We ask that full payment for celebration cakes is made on the collection day and not after. This can be done by either bank transfer or cash on collection. For larger celebration cakes or wedding cakes, we ask full payment is made two weeks prior to the event date.
Quotes: Please be aware that quotations for your bespoke cake order are valid for a period of 30 days from the day they are issued.
Design: We can not guarantee an exact replica of any images you may send to us. Primarily as we are a bespoke cake business we do not agree with copying other peoples work, however, we will use images you send as a guide for colours, shapes and general designs and inspiration for your cake.
Figures: All of our figures and cake decorations are hand made, whilst we try to capture all the elements and characteristics of the object or person in the cake we cannot guarantee an exact likeness.
Allergens: Our cakes are made in an environment where allergens such as eggs and nuts may be present, therefore we cannot guarantee allergy free cakes.
Storage: Our cakes are made fresh on premises and we advise they are eaten on the requested day to ensure optimum freshness. Cakes should be stored in a cool dry place at room temperature and not in direct sun light or in a refrigerator. Please be aware once the cake has been cut into, the freshness of the cake will deteriorate, we advise to wrap extra cake in clingfilm or place in an air tight container to help keep its quality, however it still isn’t guaranteed.
Inedible elements: Please be aware, with stacked cakes and other complicated elements of cakes, these may include non edible elements such as supports or dowling.
Collection: All orders may be collected from our premises free of charge, this must be arranged prior to the event date with an estimated time for collection to be discussed and confirmed. We accept no responsibility for any damage to the cake once it has left our premises.
Delivery: If delivery has been requested we will require a delivery charge which will be added to your order, this charge differs depending on your location and distance from our premises, this will therefore be discussed with you. Cakes will be delivered to you on the discussed day, however, although we aim to deliver your cake to you at a certain time slot, we cannot guarantee this time and it is just an estimate, due to traffic and other elements within the delivery, we are unable to offer exact and specific delivery times.
Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the event will receive the booking fee back, however less than this unfortunately deposits will not be refunded. If you are cancelling your cake one week prior to the prearranged cake date, full payment of the cake needs to be made. You may contact us and make alterations to your order up to 7 days prior to your event date. Please be aware that after this, although we may still be able to make these changes we cannot guarantee it.
Complaints: Please ensure you raise any issues with us on collection regards the decoration for your cake, it may be we can look into altering the design for you if it is possible for us to do so. Once you have left our premises this is confirmation to us you are happy with the finished product and after this point we are unable to make any changes. If the complaint is regards the quality of the cake, we ask the cake, or the remainder of the cake, to be returned as soon as possible for us to make an assessment. We will not accept a cake returned after the 48 hour period.
Images: We reserve the right to use any images taken of your cake within our advertising, however, we will not post images or use the images until after the event date.
Please be aware that it is the customers responsibility to read and check to ensure that all details are correct within the final order confirmation and that they meet their exact requirements, after this we are not liable for issues regarding this.
